In this high-flying action-adventure, Edgar (Christopher Reeve), a solo pilot for the nation's new airmail service, is a man who is haunted by a tragic memory and has made a career of keeping to himself. One day he’s assigned an involuntary passenger: the rebellious Tillie (Rosanna Arquette), whose impudence drives Edgar crazy. But when their plane crash-lands in a desolate mountain canyon, the unlikely companions have only one source of hope against the excruciating elements: each other.
