When Billy Bleach witnesses the gangland killing of a local nightclub owner, he has no choice but to go into the Witness Protection Programme. Leaving his beloved East London, he is relocated to a small Norfolk country village (he was hoping for the Florida Keys) where he assumes his new identity, Peter Jones - a poet. Will Billy be able to pass himself off as someone else and escape ruthless gang boss Harry Taylor or will his past catch up with him?
