Lee continues her Korean American Hana Trio series, begun with A Song of Secrets (2022), in which the opposites-attract and surprise-pregnancy tropes combine to harmonious effect. Megan Han and her sisters, Angie and Chloe, are the star string performers in their chamber music ensemble. Megan has an opportunity to play violin with a rock band in Hollywood, but her car breaks down, and she's rescued in a meet-cute moment by a handsome stranger. Their hot night results in an unexpected pregnancy, and Megan plans to raise her baby alone. A chance meeting reveals that her hot date is none other than her father's new CFO, Daniel Pak, who is ready to commit and do the right thing. Duty and honor are at stake, and they must decide if a marriage of convenience is the answer or if the chemistry still sizzling between them is a sign that they're really meant to be. Lee's characters are a bit too sweet and simple, but her descriptions of Korean American food and culture are delightful.

Review by Publisher's Weekly Review

A one-night stand leads to love in Lee's passionate second Hana Trio romance (after A Song of Secrets). Violinist Megan Han loves being one-third of a classical trio, but she jumps at the chance to perform a rock violin solo with a local band. Then Megan's car runs out of gas on the way to the gig. Luckily, Daniel Pak stops to assist her and ends up driving Megan to the club. Daniel sticks around, and mutual attraction leads to a steamy night together that leaves Megan pregnant. With no way to contact the "gorgeous stranger," she decides to make a go as a single mother. Imagine her surprise when her father later introduces her to the man he's training to take over the family business, and it turns out to be Daniel. Megan tells him about the pregnancy and agrees to co-parent with him, but has no desire for marriage. As an added wrinkle, she's determined not to tell her family that Daniel is the father. But as the pair grow closer and their attraction burns hot as ever, keeping this secret--and staying platonic--becomes difficult. Lee skillfully delivers tenderness and heat enough to make this short, sweet romance entirely fulfilling. Readers will be pleased. Agent: Sarah Younger, Nancy Yost Literary. (Dec.)
