In the final film from legendary director Eric Rohmer, a young man, Celadon, goes on a journey to prove his devotion to the woman he loves, Astree. When Astree falsely suspects Celadon of infidelity, the young shepherd goes on a journey to prove his devotion. To do so, he must maintain his fidelity in the face of temptation and danger.
