Master of change How to excel when everything is changing--including you

Brad Stulberg

Book - 2023

Brad Stulberg presents a new model that describes change as an ongoing cycle of order, disorder, and reorder--yes, we return to stability, but that stability is somewhere new. Drawing on modern science, ancient wisdom, and daily practice, Stulberg offers concrete principles for developing a mindset called rugged flexibility, along with habits and practices to implement it.

Review by Library Journal Review

"Excellence expert" and life coach Stulberg (The Practice of Groundedness) invites readers to accept change as a constant in their lives and develop a sense of self that will help them better cope with it, using what he terms "rugged flexibility." Divided into three parts, the book tells readers how to study their mindsets and their inner selves and how to learn to cope with change using his framework. Readers will recognize and appreciate Stulberg's use of science, history, and wisdom to support and better understand rugged flexibility. The book also includes a lengthy list of notes and suggestions for further reading that follow its themes, which will appeal to a variety of readers; from news and scientific articles to TED Talks and YouTube videos, there's something for everyone to supplement their reading. VERDICT This is a great book for people who want to begin their journey of self-discovery and understanding, as well as those looking for new ways to deal with change in a more positive manner.--Noelia Martinez
