Platinum blond and driving a Cadillac convertible, Ada is far from what Marilyn was expecting. Ada turns out to be an independent, wealthy, and confident woman who never married and lives her life as she sees fit. They become close, and Marilyn wonders what her life would look like if she was able to succeed alone like Ada did. Then Daniel shows up, hoping to court Marilyn the appropriate way. Ada thinks Daniel is a perfect match for Marilyn, but will Marilyn give up the future she wants for the future she knows? Confino (She's Up to No Good, 2022) weaves humor into her novel that will delight readers. This is a historical tale that speaks to the choices women were starting to make on the road to greater independence.
