Enneagram teacher Stabile (The Path Between Us) unearths applicable strategies for personal revelation in her latest take on the Christian personality typology system. Stabile explains that the current mood of upset and uncertainty wrought by climate change, the pandemic, and political strife--what she calls a time of liminality--prompted her to consult the Enneagram in order to develop a response to stressful events and achieve a greater balance. Within the Enneagram system, balance consists of identifying one's dominant center of intelligence--either thinking, feeling, or doing--and learning to tap less-used qualities so as to act more wisely. Here, Stabile explores how one can recognize and use one's enneagram type to forge a more secure, healthier future. Stable's explorations are not for beginners; in addition to the usual Enneagram diagrams, her detailed exposition of the nine-part typology uses specialized vocabulary of stances, traits, centers, wings, passions, and requires close study.
