Review by Booklist Review

Stars "are such a powerful metaphor for finding our way through difficult times--humans have always used the stars to navigate," writes Crone-Findlay. She offers a lovely way to make stars tangible through basic crochet, developing seven sizes and designs, then applying one or several of 25-plus projects. Good ideas abound (though the accompanying photographs could use a major upgrade). Apply several stars to a thrifted tote bag, notebook cover, or hole in a garment. Create a stuffed star to use as a holiday ornament or just for fun. Stars can also serve as trivets, coasters, picture frames, earrings, or mobiles, or strung together for a garland. Stars have no limit, Crone-Findlay's projects remind us. This very personal craft book comes with high hopes for easing painful times.
