This year's IWP residency represents writers from thirty countries, various ages, genres, and interests. Regardless of these differences, one thing unites this year's participants: they write. Today's panel will explore the writers' interpretation of the questions "Why do you write?" through discussion of influences, motives, and goals. The IWP Friday Panel Discussion series provides an opportunity for the residents of Iowa City to meet and converse with writers from around the world who are the Fall 2024 Writers in Residence at the University of Iowa International Writing Program. The series is sponsored by The UI International Writing Program and The Iowa City Public Library.
