Review by Booklist Review

Dietrich Mateschitz wasn't afraid of a challenge. His 1987 entry into the drinks market with Red Bull was predicted to be short-lived, but Red Bull's popularity as an energy drink and cocktail mixer spurred enormous growth. In 2004, Mateschitz took another calculated risk and dove into the world of Formula One Racing when he purchased the Jaguar Racing team. He tapped Christian Horner to be the team principal. Red Bull Racing began its inaugural season in 2005, the newbie among nine more established teams, with veteran David Coulthard behind the wheel. The team finished a respectable fourth place in the Australian Grand Prix and would go on to hit its stride with the addition of drivers Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel and the brilliant design of engineer Adrian Newey. Since the 2010 season, Red Bull Racing has been a formidable force, winning championships and generating respect and envy in equal measure. Hunt (Lando Norris, 2023) writes an unsparing and intriguing account of the team's 20-year ascent to Formula One dominance. A must-read for racing fans.
