Unlikely neighbors

Opposites attract in this stirring contemporary from Daniel Flagler (Society Wives). After Holland Davenport faces a health scare, she decides it's time for a change and prepares to move from her tiny hometown of Florence, S.C., to Charleston. Weeks before her move, however, Holland learns that she's inherited a brownstone in New York City from a distant aunt. Unprepared for a change that drastic, Holland plans to sell, but while sorting through her aunt's belongings, she finds a journal that reveals shocking secrets about her adoptive mother and biological family. In the midst of grappling with this discovery, she meets her aunt's handsome and wealthy neighbor, Noble Washington. Noble, drawn by their instant connection, offers to help Holland prepare the house for sale. As they grow closer and Holland falls in love with the city, she decides to stay, hoping to find more information about her family history. In the meantime, she lands a job--only to discover that Noble is a board member at her new company, making their relationship taboo.
