Review by Library Journal Review

The relationship "secrets" that fill this guide from social worker Sharp were gleaned from more than 25 years of experience as a couples therapist. While many of the secrets appear fairly common sense, the way the book builds up and upon these ideas makes it an empowering read. Sharp helps readers identify what they want from their relationships and set goals for it. She offers ways to collaborate with partners to achieve those goals and thrive. She brings awareness of common ways relationships deteriorate and how couples can navigate those difficulties when they encounter them. Ultimately, she wants readers to achieve fun and spontaneity in their relationships and other aspects of life as well. The book also includes a robust, detailed appendix of the exercises mentioned throughout the volume, plus plenty of further reading, podcasts, and games. VERDICT While this guide is fun and relatable, Sharp lays down hard truths and examples to help partners get through the tough times to find the fun.--Amanda Ray
