  • v. 3. A crow in Smurfy Grove
  • v. 4. A new beginning--
Review by School Library Journal Review

Gr 2 Up--The titles in this series take place after the events of the 2017 movie Smurfs: The Lost Village. This installment revisits Smurfy Grove, the hidden village of the Smurf girls. Gargamel's current plot against the Smurfs involves sending out a crow to report back with the location of Smurf Village. Instead, the crow takes his own path and sets himself up in the Grove, turning Smurfblossom and Smurfstorm against each other, causing division and chaos. Fans of this newer iteration of he Smurfs will enjoy seeing more stories featuring their favorite characters. Readers will find the pacing of this volume enjoyable and will respond to the boldness displayed by the Smurf girls. This revamp is sure to bring a new generation of readers to the fandom. VERDICT This release is a smurfing good time. Kids will enjoy the inclusivity and strong depictions of teamwork and family.
