Review by Booklist Review

Great British Baking Show winner and now the host of her own Netflix show, Nadiya's Time to Eat, Hussain returns to help weeknight cooking go further than just a one-time affair. A section called "Back to Basics" focuses on make-and-freeze meals that can be pulled out for a quick evening reheat, like a cheesy potato bake. "Two Dishes" sees fresh carrots cooked up to create an aromatic soup that serves as the saucy base for tomorrow night's carrot and cod curry. Hussain considers every part of the food in "Waste Not, Want Not," saving clementine peels to give sugar a citrusy hint and apple peels and cores that can be turned into jam. However, the star's most devoted fans may flip straight to "Easy Bakes" (and so should everyone else!): picture-perfect espresso chocolate cake, a teatime-worthy pear, rose, and raspberry tart, decadent lime cheesecake. Though somewhat loosely connected to the theme (cakes and cookies can be prepared and frozen ahead of time), these gorgeous dessert pages are where Nadiya's creative energy truly shines.
