Review by School Library Journal Review

K-Gr 2-Tackling everything from the seven continents and the night sky to creatures great and small and important inventors, this is a compendium of information ideal for younger elementary students interested in, well, just about everything! Not in-depth about any particular subject, this page-turner provides just enough blurbs and colorful photos to pique children's curiosity on subjects as varied as history, biology, geography, astronomy, meteorology, and more. Who doesn't want to know what the tallest buildings in the world are or the differences among various dinosaur species (and how to pronounce their very long names)? VERDICT This book won't be useful for writing papers or doing exhaustive research. Rather, consider it a browsing title for young and inquiring minds and a springboard to more comprehensive works, once the little ones are hooked.-Sharon Verbeten, Brown County Library, Green Bay, WI © Copyright 2017.
