Cashier and amateur painter Chris Cross rescues street-walker Kitty from her abusive pimp-boyfriend Johnny. Sadly, Kitty is still interested in Johnny and, when the two find out that art dealers are interested in Chris's work, they con him into letting Kitty take credit for the paintings.
