Noelle W. Ihli

Book - 2025

In a hauntingly unique, compulsively readable, engrossingly intense psychological thriller for readers of Freida McFadden, Jason Rekulak, Clemence Michallon, Robyn Harding, and The Lovely Bones, three women murdered by the same man unite in the afterlife to find justice. *Now a deluxe paperback with gorgeous stenciled edges!* "Hands down, one of my favorite reads of the year!" --Freida McFadden, author of The Housemaid Meghan, Brecia, and Skye have just one thing in common. They were all murdered by the same man. He hunted them online, masquerading as an eligible bachelor. Then he played the perfect gentleman, a thick layer of charm and a thousand-watt smile hiding the fact that his first dates end in shallow graves. He's got...ten away with murder three times now. The only thing that might keep him from killing again? The women he murdered. Meghan, Brecia, and Skye might be dead, but they're not gone. They've found each other. And they won't rest until they find a way to stop him. A devastating tale of female rage and righteous vengeance, Ask for Andrea will leave readers gutted--and asking for more.

Meghan, Brecia, and Skye were all murdered by the same man. When they link up as ghosts in the afterlife, they work together to put an end to the predations of their killer, Jack, a charming husband and father who claimed to be single and used aliases on a dating site to lure his victims. The novel's plot and story, told through three alternating viewpoints, is as gripping as a Dateline special; however, the well-written characters truly make the novel come alive. Each woman was at the cusp of adulthood when she was killed, and Ihli (Such Quiet Girls) delicately portrays the reality of dating violence for young people. The supernatural element, with the women haunting Jack and meeting each other in the afterlife, is secondary to both the plot and the character development. This novel was originally independently published, and now Kensington has given it a deluxe, stenciled-edge paperback edition that won't sit long on library shelves. VERDICT Readers of fast-paced thrillers will scoop this one up as fast as Ihli is scooping up new fans.--Carrie Voliva
