Quinn's new thriller (after The Clinic) centers around Adrianna, the heir to a multimillion-dollar empire, as she prepares for her lavish wedding on her family's private tropical island. This will be the wedding of the century, complete with corporate sponsors, carefully selected bridesmaids, and meticulously managed PR. However, underlying tensions and unresolved secrets threaten the celebration. The island has a terrible history, including the unsolved kidnapping of another bride three years ago. As if the stress of Adrianna's wedding is not enough, then one of her bridesmaids is found dead; her body is gruesomely displayed to announce that the kidnapper may have returned. Holly, a forensic expert and close friend of the victim, takes her friend's place in the wedding party but feels out of her element among the other bridesmaids, who appear to harbor resentment and hostility from their boarding school days.
