Silent Night, Bloody Night

Streaming video - 1972

When Jeffrey Butler inherits his family's old mansion, he plans to sell it quickly. But the house—once an asylum for the mentally ill—harbors a terrifying past that soon resurfaces. As Christmas approaches, a mysterious killer begins murdering those connected to the estate. With chilling phone calls and disturbing flashbacks, the buried horrors of the mansion are slowly unveiled. SILENT NIGHT, BLOODY NIGHT blends psychological horror with early slasher elements, and is considered an underground influence on later classics like Black Christmas and Halloween. Its grim atmosphere and raw, low-budget style helped cement its cult status in holiday horror cinema.
