Amondŭ Son Wŏn-p'yŏng changp'yŏnsosŏl

Wŏn-p'yŏng Son, 1979-

Book - 2023

16-year-old boy Yunjae cannot feel or express emotions. This is because the amygdala, called 'Almond', is naturally small, resulting in 'Alexithymia', or 'Alexithymia'. Under the extreme efforts and love of his mother and grandmother to raise him as an ordinary member of society, Yunjae manages to grow up without any problems. However, on his 16th birthday, Christmas Eve, a tragic accident causes the loss of his family, leaving Yunjae alone in the world. When the protective shield of his family disappears, Yun-jae is immediately branded a 'monster'. However, soon Yun-jae fatefully encounters Gon-i, who is called 'another monster'. Gon, who went through a dark tunnel-like childhood due to a t...wist of fate, is ready to face anything sharply, but in fact, his wounded heart hides a soft heart. Two monsters out of the world's eyes. The two boys, perhaps standing on polar opposites, look at each other with unbiased eyes and begin to build a special friendship. However, while Yun-jae learns about the feelings of love through a girl named 'Dora', Gon-i is once again stigmatized and abandoned by the world, heading towards tragedy.
