How does a writer’s personal identity shape their written work? What do they choose to include and what is left unsaid? These essays explore the significance of a writer's identity in their work, as well as their audience's interpretation of it. These essays explore the writers’ personal approaches to their written work. The IWP Friday Panel Discussion series provides an opportunity for the residents of Iowa City to meet and converse with writers from around the world who are the Fall 2025 Writers in Residence at the University of Iowa International Writing Program. The series is sponsored by The UI International Writing Program and The Iowa City Public Library.
